Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

7:00 p.m. Deweyville Town Hall 

 

Attendance: Nathan Spackman, Chair                  Dale Meservy

                   Marlene Berger                        Kathy Gudmundson, Town Recorder

                   Robert Thayne, Mayor 

Absent:       Shauna Wright, Dale Marble 

1.     Welcome:  Nathan Spackman, Chair.  Dale Meservy led the Pledge of Allegiance and Nate Spackman gave the prayer. 

2.     Approval of Planning Commission Minutes:  Dale Meservy made the motion to approve the October 7, 2011 minutes.  Nate Spackman seconded the motion.

                            Ayes:  Nathan  Spackman       Marlene Berger

           Dale Meservy

3.     Vote on Pro Tem Chair and Chairperson:  Nate Spackman made the motion to change the wording from chairperson to chair.  Dale Meservy seconded the motion.  The chair votes if there are only three attendees.

Motion was made by Marlene Berger for Nate Spackman to be the Chair with Dale Merservy seconding.

Motion was made by Marlene Berger for Dale Meservy to Pro Tem Chair.  Nathan Spackman seconded the motion.

4.      Public Comments:  Mayor Thayne suggested the commission should nominate another person to the commission.  He suggested Maxine Goring.  Mayor Thayne presented open meeting policy training.  Everything is to be open to the public.  If three commissioners meet, it is a public meeting.  Emails should not include personal information of any kind.  There is training available through The Utah League of Cities and Towns. There was a discussion of the nuisance ordinance.

 

Adjourn:  Motion made by Dale Meservy to adjourn.  Marlene Berger seconded the motion.
